Qserve Group Appoints Inette Nieveen-van de Laar to Board of Directors

Internal promotion recognises 11 years of leadership in regulatory affairs and medical device consultancy; appointment aligns with the spirit of the EU Women on Boards Directive, entering into force on 30 June 2026.

Qserve Group, a leading consultancy in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for the medical device and life sciences industry, today announces the appointment of Inette Nieveen-van de Laar, MSc to its Board of Directors, effective 30 June 2026.

Inette joined Qserve in 2015, bringing with her a strong background from management positions across the health and medical device industry. Over the past eleven years, she has become one of the organization's most senior and respected professionals, currently serving as Head of the Medical Devices business unit and Principal QA/RA Consultant.

Her expertise spans the full breadth of medical device regulation: from project management of EU MDR compliance programs and CE conformity assessment strategy, to Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485, MDSAP), Risk Management, and regulatory advice on substance-based and borderline products. She is a regular speaker at industry conferences and webinars, and is widely recognized for her practical and client-focused approach. Inette holds an MSc degree in Food Technology and Food Microbiology.

Inette Nieveen-van de Laar: ''As COO, my focus will be on making Qserve an even stronger partner for our clients, improving how we forecast and how we share our expertise across teams and with our clients. The goal is simple: to be the reliable, knowledgeable partner our clients deserve, every step of the way.''

Voluntaty alignment with the EU Women on Boards Directive

The appointment coincides with a significant milestone in European corporate governance. On 30 June 2026, the EU Directive on improving the gender balance among directors of listed companies (2022/2381), commonly known as the Women on Boards Directive, enters into force. The directive requires large listed companies across EU member states to achieve a minimum of 40% female representation among non-executive board members.

For Qserve Group, the decision to act was not driven by regulatory obligation, but by a genuine conviction that diverse and balanced leadership leads to better decisions and stronger outcomes. Some things do not need to be written into law to be the right thing to do, and this appointment is a natural expression of that belief.
